Bob Menendez, the son of Cuban immigrants, graduated from Saint Peter's College in 1976. He earned his law degree from Rutgers University. For most of his adult life he has served the public, advocating for the most vulnerable amongst us at the local, state and federal levels.
During his career, Senator Menendez has shown the ability to combine policy expertise and political skills in Washington. He is the former Chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. He currently serves on the Banking Committee, where he chairs the Subcommittee on Housing, Transportation, and Community Development. He also serves as a member of both the Finance Committee and Foreign Relations Committee.
