The MLK Reading Circle will meet on Thursday, September 14 at noon in the library’s second floor conference room. This year is the 40th anniversary of the College admitting women to its day program, as well as the first semester of the College’s new Women Studies Program. To mark both occasions, the selected readings of the Martin Luther King Reading Circle will focus on feminism/women’s wisdom. The first reading will be by the popular author, Sister Joan Chittister, OSB. In her essay The Power of Questions to Propel: A Retrospective, Sr. Joan poses the question “Can a woman be Catholic?” The essay is available at the library’s reference desk and in Campus Ministry. For more information, please contact Mark Graceffo at ext. 9395.
Alumni, students, faculty, and staff are welcomed.
