Eighteen of the extraordinary works of Paul Cezanne, the French painter often called the father of modern art, are featured in the current exhibition at The Montclair Art Museum.  Born in Aix-en-Provence in 1839, Cezanne, among the artists of his time, is credited as having the most profound effect on the art of the 20th century.  This exhibition, the largest in the 95-year history of the Museum, also explores the painter's influence on the development of American Modernism; more than 110 works representing 34 American artists are on view.

On the evening of December 9, 2009, the Museum will
open exclusively for A Taste of France; Art, Wine and Food,
an event for alumni, family and friends of Saint Peter's College.
