Saint Peter’s College students and the entire College community, in collaboration with various relief agencies, will conduct fundraising efforts to assist those affected by Hurricane Katrina.    Anyone wishing to donate may write a check payable to SPC Service Fund with the notation “Hurricane Katrina Relief” in the memo line.  Proceeds from the men’s football home opener were donated to the relief effort. Checks may be mailed to Saint Peter’s College, Office for Community Service, 2641 Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ, 07306.

The Office for Community Service is also coordinating fundraising efforts with student groups.   The Office of Campus Ministry will hold a prayer service for those impacted by Hurricane Katrina.  Community Service and Campus Ministry are also collecting select food items in collaboration with the Community Food Bank.  Individuals may drop canned food items such as chili, stew, pasta and peanut butter, in addition to disposable diapers, at bins located outside the offices.  Clothes are not needed at this time.    For further information, please contact Liz McMMahon at 201.915.1847.
