DR. WILLIAM A. GUTSCH, JR. '67 TO PRESENT THE SEVEN GREATEST WONDERS OF THE UNIVERSE

Dr. William A. Gutsch, Jr. ’67 will present an interactive lecture entitled The Seven Greatest Wonders of the Universe at Saint Peter’s College on Monday, November 13 at 11 a.m. in Pope Lecture Hall.The event is free and open to the general public.

 
Dr. Gutsch earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Saint Peter’s College, Master of Science in Astronomy and Ph.D. in Science Education from the University of Virginia.He also received an honorary degree from Saint Peter’s College in 1995 acknowledging his work as a scientist, journalist and educator.
 
For many years, Dr. William Gutsch served as Chairman of the American Museum-Hayden Planetarium in New York.He also covered science as a syndicated columnist for Gannett newspapers.Dr. Gutsch also worked as a science editor for WABC-TV and special science correspondent for ABC's Good Morning America and World News This Morning.He is President and CEO of the Challenger Center for Space Science Education.
 
Dr. Gutsch’s lecture is co-sponsored by Pi Mu Epsilon, the Mathematics Honor Society, Department of Mathematics and Physics, and the Office of Career Services.
