September 10, 2011

9:00 a.m.

Special memorial mass at St. Aedan's: The Saint Peter's College Church

9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Freshman Day of Service (in conjunction with the September 11 National Day of Service)
Degnan Room

Schedule of events:
Student breakfast and interfaith prayer service
Volunteer at Hillside, NJ Food Bank
Student lunch and reflections on service based on own faith experiences
Junkyard Dogs Clean-up (clean the streets of Jersey City/local community)
Reflection on the day

September 11, 2011

9:00 p.m.

Intentions for Sunday evening student Mass on September 11 in Saint Peter Chapel will be for those who died on 9/11 and for all those who have died subsequently due to illness or war that followed.

September 12, 2011

Noon

Interfaith prayer service will take place at the memorial bridge plaque followed by a Mass of Remembrance in Saint Peter Chapel.

3:00 p.m.

Students will be invited to create a banner of their memories and feelings throughout the day on September 12 and invite community members to a facilitated conversation at 3:00 p.m. Staff from the Center for Personal Development will facilitate, campus ministers will also be present.

All films will be shown in Pope Lecture Hall.
