High school sophomores and juniors may apply now to the Saint Peter’s College Summer Scholars Program and earn three college credits by completing the course of study. The program gives students an opportunity to learn from Saint Peter’s professors and to experience academic life at the collegiate level.

The Summer Scholars classes meet from July9 to August 9 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. - noon. The classes will be conducted on a colloquium model: a one-day general meeting each Monday followed by two days of individual class meetings. Summer scholars may choose from the following courses: Human Cytogenetics, Civilization and Disease, ThePsychology of Drama, and The Epic, Ancient and Modern. At the general meetings, students will listen to lectures and performances covering a broad range of disciplines.
Scholars are selected based on a variety of criteria including high school average, class rank, standardized test scores, involvement in extracurricular and community activities, letter(s) of recommendation and an essay. Applications can be found at and are due no later than Friday, April 20. The fee for the four-week program is $300. For further information, please contact Dr. Rachel Wifall at 201.761.6326 or
