The Saint Peter's College Art Gallery will host an opening reception for the exhibit Continuum in celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the American Abstract Artists (AAA) on Wednesday, March 21 from 6 - 8 PM. The exhibition will run through Wednesday, April 25 in the basement of the O'Toole Library on campus.

The exhibition features the works of 70 members of the American Abstract Artists. The display includes paintings, books, sculpture and posters, among other objects.
"This show assembles pieces from some of the major artists in the abstract field," said Father Oscar Magnan, S.J., gallery director, professor in the College's Fine Arts Department and AAA member. "The exhibit provides a broad overview of the work produced by some of the leading members of the AAA."
Since its inception in 1936, the AAA has played a pivotal role in the evolution of abstraction in American. American Abstract Artists is a democratic, artist-run organization, which exists to expand ideas and promote the exposure and understanding of abstract and non-objective art.
The Saint Peter's Art gallery is open Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 11 AM - 4 PM and Wednesday and Thursday from 11 AM - 9 PM. For more information, please contact Oscar Magnan at 201.761.6483.
