The Unspoken Rules: Secrets to Starting Your Career Off Right

You got the job! Now what? Succeeding in your career requires more than book smarts and technical skills. It takes mastery of the unspoken rules—specific ways of doing things that managers expect but don’t explain and that top performers do without being told to do. The problem is, these rules aren’t taught in school. Our speaker, Gorick Ng, a first-generation college student, and career adviser, interviewed 500+ professionals across industries and job types to understand the unspoken rules that underpin successful careers. A Great Leader is Not What You Think: Leadership Lessons from the Greatest Captains in Sports History

March 24 (Rescheduled from January)

Do you know what makes a leader great? It might not be what you think! Sam Walker, author and founding editor of the Wall Street Journal’s sports section, set out on a quest to find out what the greatest sports teams of all time had in common. Fueled by a lifetime of sports spectating, twenty years of reporting, and a decade of painstaking research, he found the most dominant teams in sports history had one thing in common: they each employed the same type of captain—a singular leader with an unconventional set of skills and tendencies. In this webinar, Sam shares the seven traits of the greatest captains in sports history. You’ll learn how to identify and cultivate these same types of people in your organization and partner with them to be a more effective leader. Exit Rich: How to Build a Sustainable, Scalable, and Sellable Business

March 31

Have you ever wondered why some businesses thrive while others take a nosedive? Why do some businesses sell for maximum value, some sell for pennies on the dollar, and some don’t sell at all? Too many entrepreneurs push off planning for the sale of their business until the last moment. But for a company to sell for what it's really worth — or even more — owners need to prepare for the sale from the very start. In this insightful webinar, author and mergers and acquisitions authority Michelle Seiler Tucker will provide you with invaluable insight into the process of preparing a business for sale, finding the right buyers, and staging the sale itself.
